The "Ceilidh Under the Stars" in Aotea Square produced a great atmosphere - especially when the sun went down. This video captures that magic when we called the dance "The Dashing White Sergeant". The video is from a YouTube post by a member of the audience from Chile.
Some highlights of Waipu's amazing Commonwealth Ceilidh. The whole community turned out for this mid-winter event. We lost count at 240! The theme was participation and fun with a blend of Scottish Ceilidh Dance, Maori Kapahaka and some of the diverse talents in this vibrant community. Twisty Willow Celtic band MCed, called the dances and performed the dance music.
